I was inspired to make my own version of an Alphabet Candyland after seeing one on Pinterest. I used a foam board that I purchased at the Dollartee and my Cricut Machine to make the letters and gingerbread people. I also used colored cardstock for the spaces. Its best to tape over the entire board with clear packing tape as a foam board is to thick for a laminating machine. This was a labor of love but I'm sure that my kiddies will enjoy playing. Other materials needed include a die, playing pieces, a small cloth bag & circular letters attached to round wooden discs (hot glue them on). Directions: Each time a child rolls the die he/she must pick a letter out of the bag and say the letter & its sound in order to move the number of spaces on the die. If unsuccessful, then their turn is over. My objective is to reinforce letter recognition & sounds.
